NAM acquires land plot in Zhukovsky

The Challenge

NAM is a leading retail park development and investment company, asked Cushman & Wakefield with a request to find a land plot for new construction. NAM plans to construct several retail- centres in Moscow region.

The Solution

Step 1: Identification of land plots which meets NAM requirements in size, location, ownership and technical support.

Step 2. Organizations meetings with vendors of land plots, district administrations and public service agencies in order to determine the quality of land plot and it’s development perspectives as a site for construction.

Step 3: Collection and analyze information concerning competitors. Getting information about the preliminary plans for national chains (anchor tenants) to participate in the project.

Step 4: Discussion of negotiation conditions with landlord of land plot. Deal was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.

The Results

As a result of one year work Cushman & Wakefield found 15,7 hectares land plot, which was acquired by NAM for construction a new retail- centers with a total area of 50,000 sq. m. in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region. The grand opening of the center is planned for 4th quarter 2014. Among the anchors is a hypermarket of 12,000 sq. m. and a 12,000 sq. m. DIY, as well as a retail gallery with leading international and Russian brands. Now NAM is working on two other land plots in Moscow Region together with Cushman & Wakefield.
