Developer of the project, ТDC Company, received building approval and began an active phase of realizing construction project of the superregional shopping mall in Saratov. At the present moment, preparatory work is being conducted and construction will begin in summer of 2013. It is planned that the first stage of the project (100,000 sq. m.) will be open for operation at the end of 2014. Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive consultant for the project.
Shopping mall “Gallery Tau” will be located in the center of Saratov at crossroad of Dubovika Street and 50 Years of October. “Gallery Tau” (total area of both stages at 190,000 sq. m. with 80,000 sq. m. rentable) will become the biggest and most modern building in the city with at least 300 stores and more than 20 restaurants operating there. Some of the major anchor businesses that already signed up are a food supermarket (12,000 sq. m.), electronics and home appliance supermarket (2,650 sq. m.), toy supermarket (1,400 sq. m.), multiplex Movie Theater, modern gallery for new international chains, large restaurant zone, and food court. There are outdoor leisure park zones for pedestrians and a convenient 2,400 space parking.
Ekaterina Zemskaya, partner and director of shopping mall rental at Cushman & Wakefield, commented: “Currently, Cushman & Wakefield is in negotiations with anchor renter businesses and is planning to finalize the deals shortly.
