This week, developer Mirs and exclusive leasing agent Cushman & Wakefield hosted an event at Columbus Shopping Centre, where committed and prospective tenants were invited to see for themselves the progress the centre is making towards its scheduled opening in November this year. The event was attended by 160 people.

Columbus will home to 300 shops and 25 restaurants and will include hypermarket O’KEY (8,500 sq.m), white and brown hypermarket MVideo (2,100 sq.m.), 14-screen cinema Kinomax (to be the second largest in Russia and will include an IMAX screen) and Decathlon (5,200 sq.m). The unique fashion gallery with a total area of 70,000 sq.m. will have 2 level shops for Zara (3,598 sq.m.), Uniqlo (2,378 sq.m), C&A (2,024 sq.m.), Reserved (2,241 sq.m.), Lady & Gentleman (1,412 sq.m.) and Мango (1,593 sq.m). The centre is 78% leased by area with a further 10% under negotiation.

Сolumbus includes comprehensive entertainment and leisure facilities such as Funky Town family entertainment centre, skating rink and carousel. There is also a 2000 sq m Exotic Terrarium. The children’s store gallery of 10,000 sq.m will host Hamleys, Detsky Mir, Deti, Mothercare, Prenatal, Chicco, ELC, Imaginarium and Acoola.

The guests at the event were especially impressed with the two level shop windows of 9.5 meters, the spacious walking galleries and the generous natural light.
