Over recent years the amount of property tax payable in Russia has grown significantly and we at Cushman & Wakefield expect that this increase in liability is likely to continue, particularly bearing in mind that the calculation of tax is frequently based on overstated cadastral values of both land sites and buildings. It is clear that at present many property owners do not have a clear enough picture of the ways open to them to contest their cadastral value assessments.

Yesterday Cushman & Wakefield together with Business Association of Appraisers hosted an event on the topic of cadastral values, during which ways of dealing with this subject were discussed. Please download a brochure in Russian on the topic here.
