CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD ANNOUNCES KEY APPOINTMENTS TO CAPITAL MARKETS

Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world’s largest real estate services firms, is pleased to announce key appointment of Alexey Slesar to lead investment advisory services as Partner and Head of Capital Markets for Cushman & Wakefield Russia. 

Alexey has over 12 years of executive real estate and transactional experience in Russia and CIS.  Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, for over three years he had worked at GledenInvest, the leading private investment company, as Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. During his tenure at GledenInvest, Alexey participated in a number of high-profile investment projects in Russia, CIS and Europe.  During 2010-2012 period, Alexey served as Executive Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels Russia &CIS where he led the company’s transactional services effort in the region. During the work at JLL Hotels Alexey secured over USD 500 million in transaction volume, including acquisition of the first two hotel assets in Russia after the 2008 economic crisis. 

From 2008 and until 2010 Alexey work at the Mirax Group, one of the largest real estate companies in Russia, as Vice President for Development and member of the management board. As a key member of the MIRAX executive team, he negotiated with international investors restructuring of over USD 600 million of company’s publicly traded debt, including CLN and CDS.  From 2003 and until 2008, Alexey led expansion of Hyatt International in the region, including in the capacity of Vice-President, Development and Acquisition (Russia, CIS, Eastern Europe).

During 2001-2005 Alexey served on the Board of Directors of the Lawyers Alliance for World Security, and from 2003 until 2007 he held position of Senior Advisor at the Scowcroft Group.

Andrey Bezverkhiy joined Cushman & Wakefield Capital Markets department as Associate. Andrey has more than 8 years’ experience in real estate and finance sectors, including 6 years in KPMG. He worked in Audit, Consumer Markets Department focusing on real estate developers and investment companies. During his 6 years with KPMG Andrey was promoted from Intern to Manager position. Early in 2013 he moved to GledenInvest where later he was promoted to Deputy CFO. Among other issues, he supported major investment deals in Russia and abroad from Finance Department side.

Andrey is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Besides, Cushman & Wakefield Capital Markets department welcomes Vladimir Demishin, who joined the team as Junior Consultant. He graduated from UCL cum laude and studied mathematics in Lomonosov Moscow State University. Vladimir’s background includes experience in Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels valuation department in Moscow and in the United Kingdom.
