Alper Ozisik, Leasing Director, Capital Partners: «The first result of active talks our leasing team is having with retail key players. On April 7th Capital Partners officially presented the extension of Metropolis. More than 150 tenants attended this event and discovered the readiness of this modern, spacious, light and welcoming building. A tour of the 4 floors was organized, allowing discovering premises offering splendid volumes and views on Leningradskoe highway. This supports the position that Metropolis still plays on the market and its dynamic attracting interests».
Sandrine Moreau, Marketing Director, Capital Partners: «Metropolis has been a resounding success, welcoming the world’s leading fashion, home and lifestyle brands. Metropolis has shined over the years, positioning itself as the uncontested trend and fashion setter. This extension continues to build on this legacy. In its distinct atmosphere and striking design, it will host more world-class fashion, lifestyle and home brands».
Alexander Obukhovsky, Director, Knight Frank Retail Department, comments: “Metropolis has been one of the most successful shopping centers in Moscow for the last 7 years. Consistent visitor flow, the best tenant-mix in the retail gallery and high conversion rate of stores prove the effectiveness of this project. Tenant-mix is being constantly improved; the center attracts more and more visitors and strengthens customers’ loyalty. Such high performance urged the Investor to expend the project with the new Phase offering a wider range of brands, restaurants and cafes. At the same time the Extension part will serve as an important social object – it will provide the passengers of the Moscow Lesser Ring Railway with a convenient passage to the metro station. We are positive that Phase 2 will be highly successful popular among both customers and tenants”.
Zulfiya Shilyaeva, Project Manager, Associate at Retail Department, Cushman & Wakefield, says: “The second phase of Metropolis shopping center is one of the most attractive and prospective projects in Moscow and we are happy to be involved in it. Enlarged shopping center will bring new format of shopping and unique atmosphere. It will provide with quality tenant-mix and new entertainment facilities. Project location is one of the key success factors as it stands on busy Leningradskoe highway close to Voykovskaya metro station and large transportation hub. From the opening date, Metropolis always attracted the strongest fashion brands and high-class operators – powerful market players convinced of the project’s success. Metropolis proves that even though consumer behavior has changed, successful and high quality projects still attract visitors and prosper further”.
