Marina joined Cushman & Wakefield Moscow in August 2013 as a Partner, Head of Hospitality and Tourism for the region. Marina oversees the direction of strategic development for big resort and touristic area/destination programs, hotel chains concept development, highest and best use analysis, feasibility study and valuation, market researches for hotel and tourism markets in Russia and CIS, as well as hotel assets investment deals conducting. Member of RICS since 2011.
Before joining Cushman & Wakefield Marina worked as Associate Director, Head of Hotel Sector in Colliers International Moscow, and as Senior vice-president, head of Advisory team in Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, where she was responsible for overseeing all advisory projects such as feasibility studies, valuations, and market research, operating research in Russia and the CIS.
Under Marina’s guidance and with her direct participation were completed more than 100 projects in various regions of Russia, CIS and the leading resort destinations in Europe and Asia. The range of coverage of these projects included the concept development for big resort and concepts for hotel chains development in various cities including the development of project management concepts and negotiation with hotel operators.
In addition to experience in the concept development and regional development programs, Marina participated in one of the biggest projects of the Olympic Sochi, as CEO Deputy of business development of "Krasnaya Polyana" ("Gornaya Karusel"). The project has been implemented with the participation of JSC "Sberbank of Russia".
Started her professional career in the Committee of Tourism of Russian Federation, Marina has been working in tourism and hotel business since 1993. Over years of working in the tourism authorities, Marina has accumulated a wealth of experience in creating various tourism and hotel & resort development programs for Russian regions, as well as in the field of hospitality and tourism market analysis methodologies, etc.
Awards & Associations
• Marina is an RICS member since 2011.
• Marina is a graduate of the Moscow State Pedagogical University (MA, Foreign Languages), she performed an internship at the World Tourism Organization (WTO) in Madrid, Spain. Currently, she is doing her PhD studies at the Russian Economic Academy named after Plekhanov.
• Marina is the author of over 10 books and toolkits, a huge amount of articles on various aspects of hotel and tourism activities and also acts as a guest lecturer on issues related to hospitality in leading universities of Moscow.
